Meta Data Not Meta Keywords
Google has said for a long time that it no longer counts meta keywords in any calculations, but meta titles and meta descriptions still play an important role.
Not every webpage is filled with rich content (some maybe galleries or video pages) so search engines rely on other features to ascertain what a page is about. Meta information is one such resource and you can see this when you type your keyword term into Google and see all the highlighted keywords in each listing.
Adding relevant information to your meta titles and meta descriptions can significantly improve your rankings in Google and other search engines. The end result of this is that you will get a lot more visitors to your website and increase the number of sales for your business.
The meta title may look slightly different depending on the webpage but is still a valid meta title. See the example below:
